Just imagine that in our world today there are more than 15 million people who hold no nationality of any country and live as refugees in other nations, while on the other hand there's a fictional figure made up of metal parts that holds the citizenship of an actual country — and what you might not expect is that it holds the citizenship of an Arab country. In 2017, Saudi Arabia granted citizenship to a humanoid robot named "Sophia," even though she was created by a Chinese company. Sophia is the most famous and most advanced humanoid robot in the world. She isn't just a machine like other robots that perform specific tasks according to their programming — Sophia is a robot of a special kind. She has beautiful, feminine features and emotions like a human, and she can display expressions of happiness, sadness, fear, and drowsiness, and is capable of holding a conversation as if she were a real person — you can see this in some of her TV interviews with the world's most famous media outlets. Sophia is the clearest example of the massive progress in robotics technology, which today's largest manufacturing sectors have come to depend on — most global car manufacturers have relied on robots in various manufacturing processes for decades. But the real importance of robots lies in their ability to carry out certain precise, complex tasks that humans can't perform, such as their role in exploring the depths of the oceans and deep space, and in performing certain precise surgical operations. We also can't overlook their impact on the nuclear industry — a disaster like the 1986 Hiroshima nuclear accident would have been impossible to clean up after without the help of robots. It's expected that in the future, every industry will depend on robots, so if you want to have a place for yourself in this world going forward, you should choose a career connected to robotics. And of course, there's nothing better than being the one who creates these robots yourself and works on building them, so I'd recommend the job of "robotics engineer," who's responsible for designing, manufacturing, and developing robots and equipping them with their own systems and technology.
